Don't need the DeLorean to travel through time, Marty McFly.
While visiting England recently, I was given the opportunity to be driven around in my cousins DeLorean. Now with a name like Marty, I couldn't help but quote lines from the movie 'Back to the Future'. This car is not only a classic, but it is also fitted with it's own 'Flux Capacitor'
As we drove through the streets of Dereham in Norwich, we would receive a lot of interesting looks and also comments about the car and the movie. Luckily my cousin Carl, was quite the showman as he has owned the DeLoren for some time and knows the movies off by heart, so he thrives on the conversation.
Now I am one to over analyse most things in life, which can be a good thing in making good decisions, but some topics it can just do your head in. Especially when the subject is Time Travel. But yet we all do it. As I was sitting on the airplane flying from the UK to Australia, I was killing some time reading my recent itinerary, when I realised that I was flying into the second night time of the journey, and that I would also see a second sunrise in the matter of 24hrs. So in one day, I saw two day times and two nights, which means I am a day ahead of time. So I have travelled through time.
Just to give you an idea how I came to this conclusion, I will now show you the math.
I left London airport at 10pm on the 17th
I arrived at Brisbane airport at 7am on the 19th
A total of 33hrs
I spent 20hrs in flight and 2hrs at Dubai airport
A total of 22hrs
So this puts me 11hrs into the future
Before anyone wishes to jump on me with the logic of; "Well you did going the other way and it makes it all even."
That just means that I travelled through time, TWICE
Yes that's right, I firstly travelled back in time, then I travelled forward in time.
How cool is that. We have all been travelling through time for years.
Now I am off to spend some time, wasting time, before time catches up to me.
Have an Awesome day and leave your comments below.
