I first discovered my gift for writing poetry, at a very early age at school. Classical poetry never really interested me, as I was always into word play, and the rhyming genre is what eventually took hold. Over the years I have kept scrappy little notepads containing my rhymes, but it wasn't till I met an inspirational poet by the name of Louise Jayne Moriarty on the Gold Coast, that my passion for for rhyme was re-birthed. As I don't like to do anything in a conventional manner; Rapid Rhymes was created, and I like to think my writing is more conventional, new age or Rock n' Roll as I like to put it. Subject matter is never an issue, as you will see in the variety of my poetry. I am not one to stick to the soppy love poems, so many material, immaterial and living things are all written about. I will be collating various poems shortly to publish in my first poetry book, but for now if you go to the drop down tab at the top of the page, you will see a sample of my works, and also some videos to go with it. I as fortunate to be associated with the Bleach Festival Poetry Slam, where I host the competition and got to recite some of my rhymes as well as have the opportunity to see many local poets strut their stuff. I have video of this awesome night and if you the creativeness of beautiful souls, then you will really enjoy this. All of my rhymes are overlaid onto backgrounds that I find on Google Images or from photos I have taken myself.
